In October 2024, photographer Sirui Ma released her debut photo book, Subway Portraits.

This 208-page collection showcases 64 meticulously hand-printed portraits of New York City MTA train conductors, capturing their unique charm, personal style, and the everyday elegance of their uniforms.

Through Ma's romantic lens, fleeting encounters with the conductors are transformed into candid, intimate portrayals that highlight the often-overlooked personalities behind the conductor's badge.
